the inspiration!
"Day Lily" image googled straight on the iPhone

..and the road bumps really added to the realistic quality of the petals. really!!

oops! a little paint on my hand ended up on the background :)

I do like what you are doing with the watercolor painting. I am a painter want to be but with little natural talent but have seen over the years that one can learn the skills. Thanks for sharing this.
