Today took us into Leoti, Kansas. A small town with great people, open plains, big sky, and dilapidated old family farm houses {my family's anyway!} Which of course will be subjects to paint.
For my painting today I chose the city water tower. Classic, clean lines, great shape! Beauty in the ordinary if you ask me.
Pencil sketch to begin
I used a very light blue wash in the background and then used only grey and black for the tower. It's a combo of using the wet on wet technique like Day 2 and wet on dry as well.
